Rice Pelvimeter is a real management staple in cattle OB equipment and for
heifer selection, allowing you to predict the level of assistance that will be
needed during calving. Research from Colorado State University showed that by
selecting for calf weight as well as pelvic measurements, “calving problems can
be decreased by about 75%.”
