Propylene Advantage is a combination of glycerin and propylene
glycol to help prevent metabolic stressors. Provides extra energy during
transition periods to prevent energy deficiencies. Propylene Advantage differs
from other propylene products because it contains two sources of glucose
precursors. It has a sweet taste for better palatability and the glycerin has
been shown to stimulate appetite. A great choice to use in transition cows,
during the first 6 to 8 weeks postpartum or anytime an off-feed occurs.
Replaces conventional propylene Glycol. Provides extra energy
during transition periods to help prevent metabolic stressors.
Multiplemetabolic pathways. Supplies supplemental energy when cows are energy
deficient. Proven effectiveness in research for over 60 years. Contains two
sources of glucose precursors. More palatable (sweet taste) when compared to
propylene glycol. For Dairy Cows: Use product as a drench, by giving 6-16
ouncecs per head per day for up to 10 days, when dairy cows require an energy supplement
after calving. Product may also be used at a rate of 6-8 fluid ounces per day
beginning 2 weeksbefore calving and continuing 6 weeks after calving.
During the transition period, feeding and management are
critical factors for cows, and can affect milk production throughout lactation.
Early in lactation, metabolic disorders such as ketosis and milk fever can
develop. Supplying extra energy during this crucial transition period will
benefit the energy balance of dairy cows, helping to prevent some of these
metabolic stressors. Propylene Advantage provides that extra energy needed and
has comparative benefits to propylene glycol.
