AniMed’s Flaxseed Oil blend is one of the richest, natural sources of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, including alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) derived from plant seeds. Horses require a minimum level of fat in their diet for optimum health. Omega 3 and Omega 6 are essential fatty acids and as such, must be supplied in their diet or through supplements.
FEEDING DIRECTIONS: Flaxseed Oil should be top dressed or mixed with normal feed ration. As a general rule of good feeding practice oils should be introduced gradually.
HORSES: 1000lbs total body weight, feed 1 to 2 ounces daily. Horses 500lbs total body weight feed 1 ounce daily.
Dogs under 25lbs feed 1/6 ounce (1 tsp), 26lb-50lb feed 1/3 ounce (2 tsp), over 50lb feed 1/2 ounce (3 tsp) daily.
This product is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding.
